5,000 installations

Ever since version 1.1.0, the NGists Web site has recorded statistics so that we can see how many copies of NGists are installed, and whereabouts in the world they are. Each time a copy of NGists contacts the Web server to check for an update, it sends some basic (non-personal) information so that we can see what Windows language preference is installed. The original idea behind this was that we could see which languages were the most popular for translation purposes; but it also means that we can infer the location of the installation from the language. For example, if the user's language is en_GB then we guess that the person is in the UK.
We have recently reached the 5,000 installation mark, and I thought it would be good to share the statistics with you. Far and away the most popular country is Germany - so vielen danke to my German friends!
